FINDING YOUR GROOVE
TRY THIS.,,
Let go of what is not serving you or your body.
Ok not so easy to do when and if you are feeling stressed. When and if you are closed minded about trying techniques outside of your comfort zone. When and if you are wearing high heels. However, this is when you might need it the most.
We have to get down get in the groove and shift our energy. Feel the oneness with our breathing, our internal being, our place on the planet. Try connecting to Mother Earth and our aura which surrounds us. Take in life force energy, let go of negative energy, and situations around you may begin to fall into place.
Get down and let earth energy inhabit our bodies and help us to be mindful, observant, and connected.
To begin, lay on the ground or sit quietly in a chair.
Breathe into the top of your head and feel any tension clearing out. Let your thoughts come and go. This is a time for you and only for you.
Bringing balance and healing energy into your life is as essential as drinking water, showering, eating healthy, and getting in a good walk or workout.
Lightly drop your head forward on the exhalation and on the inhalation lift your head slowly.
Gently place your head back and exhale as you bring your head back to center. Then gently move your head from side to side by bringing your ear to your shoulder.
Slow and steady with nice even breathing will not only give you the best physical results but it will help your mind to settle down and ease into a safe state for receiving earth’s nourishing energy.
Breathe into and visualize healing light or healing energy softening those tight shoulders. Drop your shoulders down away from your ears. Perhaps they have been hugging your ears for a very long time.
When we hold onto tension in our bones and in our muscles we are stressing our body systems and joints. Letting go with body awareness, breathing exercises and visualization all allow for the good stuff to come in and then internal and external healing can begin.
Taking time in your day or evening to create an awareness and call attention to tense and tight areas in your body is not that difficult once you tune into your body and connect with grounding and breath. You will find your groove.
Breathe into your hips and feel them loosen and opening. Release any tension in your knees, your calves, your ankles, feet, and toes.
With your feet planted firmly on the ground, visualize that you are connecting with the Earth. You are taking in Earth’s energy from the bottom of your feet and sending it up through your entire body. You are being nourished, balanced, loved and protected by all that the Earth has to offer you.
You can try some of these practices or all of them.
Another approach and one you might connect with is to….
Go outside and stand against a tree and feel the vibration that every living tree, plant, flower, blade of grass has in every cell. Or simply stand with one flower in your hand and take in the details of that perfect piece of nature….petals, stem, color, vibrancy etc. You can stand on the ground in your bare feet and experience a most beautiful and pleasant sensation of being connected and grounded to a vast universe that is way bigger than anything you experienced in the checkout line, DMV, the ATM, or the boardroom.
Look up at the sky for a minute or two and revel in the miracle of sun, clouds, sky, rain, fog, snow, moon, wind, motion, and all that a view above says to you.
We often hang over our desks or steering wheels and take very little time to swing the pendulum the other way and look at our surroundings from the earth under our feet to the vast sky above us. There are a lot of stories to be heard in the messages from nature. We can and we do learn so much.
Ok so let’s say you don’t have time to roll around on the floor and send healing light to yourself or you need assistance in learning these techniques, well try brewing a cup of herbal tea and sit in silence. This is a wonderfully therapeutic ritual. If you enjoy music then play something relaxing and drift away for a short while. I’m feeling calm just thinking about listening to some Enya. If shaking off the day is a better fit for you then how about some dance music.
Try this for a beautiful way to connect with nature….
Take a short walk and pick up a few things that will help you put together an altar. Maybe a special shaped stone that you find on the pavement. Maybe an interesting stick or leaf.
Find little bits of nature here, there, and everywhere and bring them back home with you as reminders that you took a nice walk out in nature and it was sacred and special and did you a lot of good.
In other words, you found your groove today.
