Observing Through A Young Friend's Lens

When feeling extra empathic I often find myself working in a bubble. My bubble.  Nothing terribly wrong with that however, I’m certainly guided and influenced by my favorite meditations, affirmations, visuals, library of reading materials, courses, podcasts, notes, crystals, oracle decks, incense, candles, aromatherapy oils, music, senses and beliefs. My colors, hues, and shades. My vibes. That’s the head space and those are some of the tools I choose (depending) to get into a place where I can receive whatever messages or synchronicities are meant for me or for my clients.

When it comes to connecting with treasures both outside and inside my preferred tones are more about orange, browns, reds, and darker greens.  Could that be the influence of my earthy Taurian nature speaking? Then again, I love a warm summer day with prismatic beams of light, bright yellows, gorgeous bright blues.  A day when the heat hugs every cell in my body.  Being near water rocks my soul as if I’m laying in a cradle or hammock.  Ahhhh dreamy stuff. I embrace and feel many sensations, but when I set up a photo or take a photo the subject matter is usually set in earthier tones.  Not that there's anything wrong with other tones.  Big fan. Somehow, I seem to literally gravitate to rocks, bark, wood, dirt, leaves, sunsets, sand, and mud. Well things can and do change….constantly.

A few months ago, I had an online meeting with a talented young friend of mine who works with me on my website.  We have a very good working relationship. We were talking about altars, crystals, card readings, and magical vibes. My friend mentioned that she had a special space set up in her apartment and she sent me a photo of her wonderful treasures. Instantly, my Heart Chakra opened and I felt the love that emanated from her photos.  Her treasures are soft pastels, pink, shiny and  full of thoughtfulness and care.  The tones were calming. Lovely gifts she has received along the way, meaningful crystals, shells, statues, and treasures she has carefully chosen for herself. My friend, like me, and so many tuned-in folks out there, find comfort and energetic vibes in treasures found, gifted, and purchased.

I’m a lot older than my friend.  Does age difference come into play when I choose the elements for my photos like when a craggy tree out in the elements speaks to me?  Probably.  My lens is older, my point of view perhaps has a bit of a patina built up around the edges.  However, I feel very young at heart and very excited when I put a lighter brighter lens on my outlook when I’m taking pictures and experiencing what develops.  Observing and studying some of the metaphysical work that I do through the eyes of younger podcasters, writers, empaths, photographers, psychics, classmates, crystal teachers, artists etc., is as important as being in my bubble.

I’m reminded in a very good way that all ages have a voice, a point of view, and value.

Open up your heart, your mind, your senses.  See and feel what was, is, and will be.

Maybe find a rock, shell, crystal, leaf, or stick that literally speaks to you or you know could speak to you when you find that quiet, soft, place and space.  Hold and study your new found find. The messages may come through one day.  Try on all the colors.
